The MA Assistive Technology Loan Program Needs You!
The MA Assistive Technology (AT) Loan Program is looking for some new people to be part of the program committee. This is a great opportunity to be a member of a program that has made over $5 million in loans to more than 300 people. The committee meets 4 times a year (Boston) and transportation to meetings is paid for. The committee is especially looking to have more involvement from representatives of Deaf and blind communities as well as family members of people with disabilities. If you are interested in applying for a position, please contact: Ferol Smith, Assistive Technology (AT) Loan Program Committee,
The MA AT Loan Program Committee provides oversight and guidance to the operation of the MA AT Loan Program. The committee is comprised of individuals with disabilities, stakeholders from the disability community and finance professionals. The Program Committee meets quarterly to ensure compliance of all operations of the loan program. The group also makes policy decisions, reviews the status of program activities, and insures that the loan program uses appropriate standards for serving all persons with disabilities. In order to make informed decisions about future directions for the program, committee members are expected to stay informed about current assistive technology available to applicants.
