• The Chair uses the Smooth Slide belt traction system and four support wheels (two swivel wheels in the front and two stationary ones in the back).

• With two locking bars secured by Velcro-webbing straps, the Down & Out© Rescue Chair assures a safe and secure chair for transporting a person up or down a flight of stairs.

• Upon landing, the weight of the transferred person supports the wheels for directions and horizontal travel. The Down & Out© Rescue Chair collapses for space conservation.

• The telescoping hand-bar is reversible for lifting a person up a flight of stairs; at least two people are required to carry a person up a flight of stairs.
