Serving DDS clients in the Metro Region.
 

Having difficulty identifying the right assistive technology product for someone with a developmental or intellectual disability?

 

Come visit and learn about products such as........

trackball, picture telephone, adapted switches, vibrating press panels, switch adapted games, educational software, time timer, communication devices, and picture cookbooks.
 

The library director provides consultation and guidance in the following areas of assistive technology:

 
Computer technology:  Evaluation and recommendations regarding appropriate hardware.
 
Home Safety & environmental modifications.
 
Activities of daily living (cooking, bathing, dressing, etc.).
 
Low vision aids.
 
Sensory processing (Difficulty tolerating sense input such as touch, movement or sounds.)
 
Recreation and leisure.
 

Over 400 products are available for demonstration or loan to individuals served by the Mass. Department of Developmental Services.
