Maritime Adventures through AccesSport America

Scituate Recreation, along with the Scituate C.O.R.S.E (Community of Resources for Special Education) Foundation, is sponsoring this new and innovative water sports program for up to 40 children with disabilities. This program is open for children entering 1st grade - 22 years of age. A participant must be on an IEP or 504 -service plan to participate.

The camp will provide specialized instructors and equipment from AccesSportAmerica, http://www.accessports.org/index.html, a national non-profit founded in 1995 that inspires higher function and fitness for children and adults of all disabilities through safe entry to high-challenge sports. Participating students can be non-ambulatory, non-verbal, and do not need to know how to swim.

For registration information, please call Scituate Recreation at 781-545-8738 or go to http://www.town.scituate.ma.us/rec/

We are also looking for volunteers to assist.
