This three hour hands-on workshop is designed to help you get up and running with Proloquo2Go, the popular augmentative communication app. We will cover basic skills such as adapting settings, creation and customization of pages, linking pages and backing up and restoring your customized vocabulary. We will also discuss ideas for selecting functional, motivating vocabulary.

Android vs. iPad

This workshop will focus on how Android devices are both different from and similar to iDevices. Compare and contrast apps available for both platforms, differences in accessibility features, access to certain, apps, cost, and ease of use. Participants will have the opportunity for hands on use of these two devices for exploration.

This workshop is for teachers, parents, therapists and will present fun and motivating ways to increase access to literacy for users of Augmentative and Alternative Communication of all ages. We will look at creating a print rich environment, increasing access to text, creating writing experiences and more. We will also look at commercially available literacy curriculums that have alternative access.
