Use Read&Write's Voice Note Feature!

Read&Write from TextHelp is popular literacy software that includes word prediction but also a host of additional powerful tools including Voice Note!

Voice Note icon

  • Click the Voice Note icon to embed audio in a document (such as directions to students, encouragements, words of wisdom!) A speaker icon is created for playback.
  • Encourage students to use Voice Note to orally respond to an item instead of writing or typing a response.
  • Encourage students to use Voice Note for prewriting! Suggest students record their thoughts first and then play their recordings as many times as they need to transcribe into sentences and paragraphs!

Voice Notes are embedded in the document. No need to save an audio file in addition to the document.

Thanks to the Loudon County (Virginia) Public Schools' AT Team for this tip!
