Maximizing Assistive Technology in Consumers' Hands

March 23, 2015

Easter Seals AAC Boot Camp
April 20 - 23

This four day professional development course will focus on practical skills and techniques for supporting AAC users in the classroom. Participants will be exposed to a variety of AAC systems and given an overview of the evaluation process. Participants will then focus on skills that increase AAC learning for students, universal for all AAC users no matter what type of system they have. Techniques will not only be discussed but practiced so that participants will feel comfortable using them in the classroom. Additionally, participants will have an opportunity to create a classroom game that can be used to promote or reinforce AAC skills.
