Government Proposes Accessibility Rule Changes for US Websites (CMSWire). Both public and private websites face major content challenges over the next two years after the US Department of Justice (DoJ) announced that it aims to change the rules that govern the application of the 20-year-old Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to websites and website content.

Southern New Hampshire Medical Center: Settlement Agreement (Department of Justice). Clarifies that the requirement to provide effective communication, such as sign language interpreters, applies not just to patients but to their companions as well.

Rainbow River Child Development Center: Settlement Agreement (Department of Justice).
Requires day care center to request permission from state to be exempt from state regulatory requirements that limit diabetes care so that day care center staff can administer insulin or glucagon and other diabetes care. State law prevents the day care center from providing medical care and supervision without appropriate authorization.
