The Tar Heel Reader has more than 11,000 free books with text and graphics that can be viewed online or downloaded as a PowerPoint presentation, Impress, or Flash. You can also create your own books and save them on the website. When books are viewed online, there are options to change the text or background color and have the text read aloud with a choice of three voices, using touch screens, IntelliKeys and 1 to 3 switches.
