Planning Ahead: Assistive Technology in Postsecondary Education
Postsecondary education is becoming increasingly important. Many emerging career fields require workers to have skills that can only be obtained by education beyond high school. Educators and parents play a vital role in maintaining high expectations and assisting their youth to meet the demands of postsecondary programs. Assistive Technology (AT) should not be overlooked in this process. For many students, AT has been the key to their achievements. This session will discuss the skills unique to acquiring, using, and maintaining Assistive Technology and tools that help development and tracking of those skills.
