Funded by the federal Office of Disability Employment Policy, U.S. Department of Labor,the PARTNERSHIP ON EMPLOYMENT & ACCESSIBLE TECHNOLOGY (PEAT) is a new national resource to facilitate and promote the use of accessible technology in the hiring, employment, retention, and career advancement of individuals with disabilities.

Don't miss your chance to participate in the upcoming PEAT webinar, Assessing the Accessibility of Your Workplace Technology, on Monday, November 10th from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. EST. Join PEAT's Jim Tobias for an overview of TechCheck, a free, interactive tool that helps organizations evaluate their accessible technology efforts and find resources to develop them further. Attendees will learn:
  • The benefits of building or fine-tuning an accessible technology initiative.
  • How to take stock of the current state of their accessible workplace technology policies, determine the goals they should reach, and plot the steps they can take to reach them.
  • Effective employer practices for managing accessibility teams, internal training, procurement policies, accessibility testing processes, and evaluation of their efforts.
  • How to gain an overall picture of how well developed their accessibility effort is, and what to do with that information once they have it.
