Independent Living Programs for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHILS)

DHILS programs are publicly and privately funded to provide a range of independent living services to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. Advocacy assistance and self-advocacy training are available as well as skills training and peer mentoring. DHILS programs also have some limited funding available for AT devices and services and may have equipment available for loan. There are 10 community-based sites located statewide:
